Touchy.

This blog was very difficult to even think about writing. But it is something that has been long debated. And that is the "N" word. Now, I as a white male am really frowned upon for using the word. But honestly, I will not front, I say the word nigga all the time. I use it mainly while talking or rapping along to a CD. Now that I have come out of the N Word Closet, lemme also say that I am not one to use it against people. I do not say NIGGER to hurt someone. In fact, I am very nervous to even utter the word around black people. And it sucks because I have been hip hop for YEARS. I mean YEARS. Before I even know what the word fully represented I was using the word. At 10, I was rapping along side Dr. Dre in my room to Nuthin But a G Thang. I never knew it was a "bad" word until later in life to be honest. So, I do not think it is right for ANYONE to use the word nigger. But the word nigga has been sso watered down and became a slang word over the last 20-30 years. White suburban girls say it to each other down the halls of the highschools and black people say nothing. SO, we need to move on past the whole offensive side of it all. On another note, how do I explain to my white daughter when she is 7 years old that, honey, it is ok if we say this word in the car while singing along to the new Nas cd but you can't say this word anywhere else. That is some serious confusion and pressure to put on a child. So, do I A, explain to her that it is a bad word and continue to listen to it OR do I B, not let her listen to it at all? I just think that if I don't let her listen to hip hop that I am hiding something from her that I think that she should really enjoy. So, I dunno, All I am saying is white people need to have a meeting and agree to only use the word Nigga while quoting a rapper or hanging with their friends. Don't say it to the black guy that just cut you off in the morning on the way to work. I guess we all need a little hip hop in our lives to make it all seem a little more clear I guess. I dunno. I am starting to rant and not make any sense SO, hope this wasn't offensive to anyone but I had to say it, It has been eating me up inside for years. On that note. Let's bring the word nigga into a few songs and videos to clear the air a little.
