Calling It Now...

Alright, so you know that I am always bitching about something, sorry, that's the way I get down, don't like it, eat a penis. But what really needs to stop NOW before it gets out of hand anymore than it is already is Streetwear brands sponsoring rappers, it's a brilliant marketing idea and it worked very well in the 80's Troop with LL, Adidas with RUN-DMC even though that wasn't an actual sponsorship they still got fucking paid later on so, anyways, yeah. It is just making the streetwear culture a little more mainstream and I personally can't stand it. I wear this clothing as a representation of myself. But it's cool though. I am about to be done with streetwear. It's going to be all Supreme, Key City and Polo from here on out. Fuck 30 bucks a shirt from a company that will pay rappers to wear it in a video. That is the only way I really know to keep it true. Now, I know alot of you are thinking, WAIT, Polo is the definition of mainstream. And yes, it is very available to the public. But Polo is timeless AND you can wear it on any occasion. Got some dimes you need to sell before the concert? Unzip your Snow Beach and break em off something, got a dinner date with the in-laws? Leave the goosedown with coatcheck and show off that ill cable-link sweater with your slacks and loafers. I dunno. Johnny and I from Key City have been bitching about it for a while and it is just time for me to call it quits on streetwear right now. It needs to go back in time and make it wholesome again. Now you might say, WAIT, Kanye was on Polo a few years back and we all know you HATE Kanye. Yes, that is true, BUT, he also claimed Ralph Lauren was boring before I wore em in this video.

BUT, take a good look at Raekwon in the beginning of this video, that jacket look familiar? Hmmm.

Just another example of people biting and calling it their own. See Supreme supplying people with ideas for the last 10 years. But whatever.

The moral of the story is, Streetwear is dead. So, start printing your shirts and wearing them out because to this fat white kid streetwear is dead. It won't be long before someone takes a hit and sells to a major department store. The Hundreds, 10 Deep, SOMEONE will sell, look at Ecko and Zoo York! It will happen and it will be very sad when it happens, so, cut the chord and don't get to attached because it is on the way out guys.
