UNOFFICIAL RESULTS: Texas Democratic Party Precinct Conventions
The Texas Democratic Party is no longer updating the unofficial results from the precinct conventions. We are now shifting our efforts to collecting the official results from the precinct conventions to make sure they are available at Senatorial District/County Conventions on March 29, where delegates will be elected to the State Convention. Ultimately, those state conventions delegates will determine the allocation of 67 national delegates.
All Precinct Convention Results are unofficial until certified by the Credentials committee at the County or Senatorial District Convention on March 29th. However, in response to overwhelming interest from the public and the press, the Texas Democratic Party developed a reporting system that will allow the Chair of each Precinct Convention to call in results as soon as their meeting adjourns.
The results posted below reflect the number of delegates elected from the Precinct convention to the county or Senatorial District convention.
Although delegates generally do not switch presidential preferences, party rules do not formally bind delegates to support the same candidate at every step in the convention process, and the allocation of delegates to the national convention is not finally determined until the June 6-7 State Convention. Therefore, these results may not reflect the final allocation of 67 delegates determined by the TDP convention/caucus process.
Of the 228 National Convention Delegates, 126 delegates—the majority of the Texas delegation—are allocated based on the results of Tuesday’s Democratic primary.
Counties will not appear until they have reported results. If you cannot find your county on the table below, it has not yet reported any significant Precinct Convention results.
